| Comments | The rare in Lane County Antennaria luzulloides is blooming in abundance, as well as Ipomopsis aggregata, Penstemon rupicola, Eriogonum compositum and E. umbellatum (these are especially nice at the big rock area on the Olallie Ridge trail just past the main intersection), Saxifraga bronchialis and S. cespitosa and lots of Cornus unalaschkensis and some perfect Streptopus amplexifolius on the way up.
Also, be sure to stop at MP 28 about 6.3 miles up Road 1993 on your way to the trailhead. The damp mossy road cut there is covered with hundreds of gorgeous bronze bells (Stenanthium occidentale) in perfect bloom. They are in with lots of Boykinia occidentalis just getting started. |
